LOVAS, Sept 12 (Hina) - Members of the Croatian Government Commission
for Imprisoned and Missing Persons, led by Col. Ivan Grujic, on Thursday
exhumed the bodies of nine Croats killed in the Lovas area of eastern
Croatia between 1991 and 1993, Lovas mayor Zeljko Cirba said on Friday.
Cirba said that seven bodies had been disinterred at the local
cemetery, one in the village and one at the edge of the nearby Jelas forest.
All bodies were taken for identification.
Cirba said that of 68 bodies exhumed from a mass grave in Lovas in
June this year, 67 had been identified.
"It is believed that there are more mass grave sites containing the
bodies of Croats killed during Serb occupation," Cirba said.
