NIJEMCI, Sept 3 (Hina) - Members of the Croatian government's
commission for missing or imprisoned persons on Tuesday started
the exhumation of 11 persons killed in the Nijemci municipality
area (eastern Croatia) in 1991. The exhumation should be
completed today or tomorrow at the latest, the head of the
Nijemci municipality, Ivica Klem, said on Wednesday.
Eight bodies were expected to be exhumed at several
locations in the village of Nijemci, two bodies in Podgradje, and
one in Apsevci, Klem said.
Heading the exhumation is Lt. Col. Ivan Grujic, the
president of the government's commission for the missing or
imprisoned.
