ZAGREB, July 4 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader met
Slovene Foreign Ministry Secretary Ivo Vajgl in Ljubljana on Friday, the
Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
They discussed all relevant bilateral issues, trilateral
initiatives, continuation of cooperation in multilateral organisations
and European associations, and issues relating to the succession of the
former Yugoslavia.
Sanader and Vajgl expressed satisfaction with the progress of
negotiations on the remaining outstanding issues, including borders,
property relations and a free trade zone.
After positive steps had been made by signing the Social Convention
and the Agreement on Border Cooperation, they stressed that both sides
should make additional efforts to further improve the currently very
good relations.
Sanader relayed to Vajgl a letter from Croatian Foreign Minister
Mate Granic to Slovene Foreign Minister Zoran Thaler on bilateral and
multilateral cooperation, the statement concluded.
