OSIJEK, June 24 (Hina) - The association of displaced persons of
Osijek-Baranja County, on Tuesday asked Parliament President Vlatko
Pavletic to propose a discussion on the UNTAES mandate, at the current
session.
They also demanded that "a resolution be made which will decide
that the mandate of the UNTAES military component has to cease on July
15 this year."
The association's leadership said that all conditions were met for
the completion of the Transitional Administration's mandate on July 15,
and stressed that the Croatian Government had fulfilled all of its
commitments from the Erdut-Zagreb and Dayton accords as well as from a
Letter of Intent, including elections for local self-government and
appointment of Serb minority officials to Croatia's Parliament and
Government.
The displaced asked Interior Minister Ivan Penic to set up police
stations, which have been planned to be established in the UN-
administrated area, until July 15.
