ZAGREB, Mar 19 (Hina) - Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic on
Wednesday received the representatives of the Sarajevo Franciscan
Theology, dean Ivan Bubalo and secretary Marko Karamatic, on the
occasion of the Theology's return from Samobor, near Zagreb, where
it was situated during the conflict, to Sarajevo.
Bubalo and Karamatic informed Biskupic about their four-year
stay in Samobor and the fact that, in spite of difficulties, the
lessons had not been interrupted.
Biskupic said he was satisfied that the Sarajevo Franciscans
had not ceased with their rich publishing activity and added that
the Croatian Culture Ministry and Croatian publishers would supply
a large quantity of books for their library, which had lost 60,000
volumes.
The Croatian Culture Ministry would also financially support
some programmes of the Franciscans from Sarajevo, while Croatian
artists would perform in the Bosnian capital, with the aim to
continue cooperation with the Sarajevo Franciscan Theology.
As a sign of gratitude, the Franciscans gave Biskupic several
of their precious volumes.
