VINKOVCI, Mar 13 (Hina) - Ukrainian Ambassador to Croatia, Anatolij Sostak,
on Thursday met in Vinkovci, Eastern Slavonia, with displaced inhabitants of
Miklusevci and Petrovci, who informed him about the currently difficult life
conditions of national minorities in the villages of the Croatian Danubian
area. They also expressed concern over the fate of co-inhabitants during
elections.
The 58 displaced persons from Miklusevci and Petrovci, a village
before the conflict inhabited by members of the Ukrainian national minority,
yesterday forwarded a letter to Sostak, which said that in spite of
warnings, Serbs continued with systematic robberies and the removing of
construction material and property.
Sostak said he would discuss the problems with representatives of the
UNTAES.
