The statement said that "the discussion of all presidents of county
courts resulted in full support to the appointment of the president of the
Supreme Court, Milan Vukovic, with the conviction that this appointment
starts the process of final affirmation of the justice authority as
independent".
"The need was confirmed to accelerate and complete the structure of
Croatian justice authority, by establishing and setting in motion new county
courts as soon as possible, and by establishing one or more courts of
appeal, which would confirm the constitutional position of the Croatian
Supreme Court as the highest court in the state," the statement said.
