DECISION ON BRCKO SUPERVISOR TO BE REACHED TODAY IN VIENNA

VIENNA, Mar 7 (Hina) - The International Conference on the Implementation of the Decision of the Arbitration Commission for the Brcko Municipality, at which an international supervisor for the area should be appointed, will take place in Vienna on Friday. The Conference should also decide whether special police forces will be established for Brcko, in the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BH), or whether the existing UN police force will be augmented. Taking part in the Conference will be representatives of the contact group countries, of the European Union, of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, of the UN High Commission for Refugees, of the Islamic Conference Organization, of the Stabilization Force, of the World Bank, and representatives of the countries which signed the Dayton Accord. The representatives of BH's central authorities will not attend, because they have allegedly been not informed about the Conference, nor invited to participate. This decision of BH's Council of Ministers will not impede the holding of the Conference, since the representatives of two entities will attend.
