MINISTRY BUILDING
TRAVNIK, Mar 3 (Hina) - All appointed Croat officials at the Travnik
Cantonal Interior Ministry of Central Bosnia would enter the Ministry's
building on 5 March, after the Republic-Bosniak insignia (boards and flags)
had been removed from the building, through the support of International
Police Task Force representative for the establishment of the cantonal
police, Ken Marcuson.
"Conditions have been achieved for me, my assistants and the heads of
departments of the Ministry's Croat side, to enter the joint building and
begin a joint activity with the Bosniaks to establish the Ministry and the
cantonal police", Deputy Interior Minister of the Central Bosnia Canton,
Fabijan Trbara, told Hina on Monday.
At first, Trbara will be joined in the building by five of his
assistants and Croat heads of departments, as well as 15 Croat policemen,
working for the building's security.
The Croat policemen will, until new uniforms for the cantonal police
are provided, perform their duty in the uniforms of the Herzeg-Bosnian
police.
"For the remaining Croats in Travnik, especially those who were
displaced in 1993, this will be a big encouragement, as well as an important
practical step towards the establishment of a cantonal police, in its full
structure, in compliance with the canton's national structure (as reported
in) 1991", Trbara said.
