ZAGREB, Feb 19 (Hina) - Croatian Interior Minister Ivan Penic on
Wednesday received German Ambassador to Croatia, Volker Haak, on an
inaugural visit, the Interior Ministry's press office reported.
Minister Penic stressed the need for stepping up cooperation
between Croatian and German police, and reiterated the invitation
to his German counterpart Manfred Kanther to visit Croatia soon.
Ambassador Haak expressed interest in the process of peaceful
reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area into the Croatian
constitutional and legal system, and Minister Penic notified him of
the matter in detail.
