MOSTAR, Feb 7 (Hina) - The International Police Task Force (IPTF) command
for the Mostar area on Friday described last night's shelling of an
apartment building in Croat-held west Mostar as a criminal act.
A missile that hit a seventh-floor apartment of the building in the
immediate vicinity of the Neretva river dividing the city came from the
east, IPTF official Alva Emersson told Hina.
However, Emersson could not say whether the missile had been fired
from Moslem-controlled east Mostar. He said that the perpetrator must be
identified and punished.
International police were awaiting official police reports from both
sides of the city.
