MOSTAR, 9 Jan (Hina) - Around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, a group of Bosniac police officers in the suburb of Bijelo Polje, east Mostar, stopped a car bearing Split (Croatia) license plates, which was moving from the direction of Jablanica.
The police beat up the driver, Croatian citizen Zeljan Surac, west Mostar police officers reported this morning.

stopped a car bearing Split (Croatia) license plates, which was

The driver, who suffered severe injuries, ended up with
several teeth knocked out and his lower jaw broken.
Surac was then taken to an east Mostar police station where
the maltreatment continued.
Another passenger in the car was Sedija Bunardzija, also a
Croatian citizen, west Mostar police said, adding that Bunardzija
had not been maltreated.
The car carried two cubic meters of firewood, which were taken
away, west Mostar police said.
