Unidentified persons threw a hand grenade in front of an
office for issuing Croatian documents in Stari Jankovci (under
UNTAES control) at around 5.00 hours Saturday, deputy chief of
Transitional Police Ivan Babic said. All the windows on the
building were shattered.
Babic added that an explosive device was also thrown at a
house of a non-Serb in Jankovci, several minutes later.
Another explosive device had been thrown in front of a family
house in Negoslavci (about 15 kilometres east of Vinkovci) on
Friday, bringing down the house's facade, Babic said.
Investigations about the incidents are under way.
