MOSTAR, Feb 15 (Hina) - Commenting the official announcement that Pope John
Paul II will visit Sarajevo, deputy International Community High
Representative for Bosnia, Michael Steiner, told the Mostar weekly
"Horizont" that the Pope would bring a message that the Vatican fully
supported a multi-ethnic Bosnia-Herzegovina, #L#
Steiner held that the Pope would strengthen the Croats' opinion in the
region that this was their country and that this was the place of their
future.
Recalling the incidents of 10 February, Steiner stressed that reports
had confirmed that people who had visited cemeteries for Bayram had been
shot at. Shooting at civilians was unacceptable, Steiner said.
