WASHINGTON, 6 Feb (Hina) - The Croatian Vice Premier Jure Radic, parliamentary representatives Djuro Perica and Marko Veselica and the Croatian Ambassador to the United States , Miomir Zuzul, on Thursday attended a traditional
national prayer breakfast in Washington, a statement from the Croatian Embassy in Washington said.
WASHINGTON, 6 Feb (Hina) - The Croatian Vice Premier Jure Radic,
parliamentary representatives Djuro Perica and Marko Veselica and the
Croatian Ambassador to the United States , Miomir Zuzul, on Thursday
attended a traditional national prayer breakfast in Washington, a statement
from the Croatian Embassy in Washington said. #L#
Present at the 45th prayer breakfast were the President of the United
States, Vice President, members of Congress and several thousand people
from the U.S. and 170 countries.
The U.S. President Bill Clinton received a group of guests, including
Vice Premier Radic.
Radic conveyed President Tudjman's regards and gratitude for the
efficient support in the process of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian
Danubian area, stressing the positive role of the U.N. Transitional
Administrator in the area, General Jacques Klein.
Radic expressed hope that economic cooperation between the two
countries would improve, as well as their partnership in Croatia's
reconstruction and development.
President Clinton was interested in the course of reintegration. He
supported the implementation of 16 March elections in the whole of Croatia,
adding the United States was ready to participate more in the reconstruction
and development of Croatia, especially in the reconstruction of its
infrastructure, the Embassy statement said.
