OSIJEK, Feb 22 (Hina) - Starting Monday 24 February, all those who satisfied the criteria for entering Croatia and Hungary would be able to use the road between the UNTAES check point in Bilje and the Knezevo-Udvar border crossing as
a transit passage between Osijek and Mohacs, UNTAES's public relations office said in a statement.
OSIJEK, Feb 22 (Hina) - Starting Monday 24 February, all those who satisfied
the criteria for entering Croatia and Hungary would be able to use the road
between the UNTAES check point in Bilje and the Knezevo-Udvar border
crossing as a transit passage between Osijek and Mohacs, UNTAES's public
relations office said in a statement. #L#
Citizens who do not live in the area under UNTAES administration are
to use the road exclusively as a transit passage. Drivers are prohibited to
turn off the route and stop in villages by the road.
The delivery or acceptance of goods or passengers along the way was
not permitted, the statement said, adding that the safety of the passsengers
on the road was the responsibility of the Transitional Police, and that
UNTAES troops would also carry out patrols.
The Knezevo-Udvar border crossing would be opened every day from 07.00
to 19.00 hours and vehicles passing through the area would not be allowed to
enter Baranja an hour before closing, the statement said, adding that the
transport of passengers by bus from Osijek to Mohacs, organised by Osijek
company "Panturist", would continue in a normal fashion for people with
Croatian documents.
