Office, had registered all displaced persons from the Osijek County who
lived in other parts of Croatia.

government Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons, Lovro Pejkovic.
Representatives of the county leadership and Osijek Town Council
informed the residents of Sarvas about the procedure of recording war
damages and about the work of the County Office for Cadastre and Geodetic
Work, as well as about the work of Osijek public companies within the
framework of preparations for the return of displaced persons.
"The most important political task are the preparations for the
elections and we are trying to get all those with the right, to vote,"
Deputy Head of the government Office for the Temporary Administration, Mirko
Tankosic, said, adding that, in the next period, it was necessary to work on
the creation of living conditions in the Danubian area, especially on the
removal of mines.
Residents of Sarvas expressed dissatisfaction about the delay in
paying benefits for displaced persons.
Arbanas said that the reason for the delay was that the Finance
Ministry had not yet transferred the necessary resources to the government
Office for Refugees and Displaced Persons.
