REPORT $ ON STATE OF COUNTRY AND NATION ZAGREB, Jan 13 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman is to address the members of both houses of the Croatian Parliament at the houses' sessions on 22 January, with a report on the state of the country and nation, Croatian Parliament President Vlatko Pavletic told reporters at Monday's news conference. The House of Representatives and House of Counties are to begin their sessions on Wednesday. The proposed agenda of the 16th session of the House of Representatives, which is to last two weeks, contains about 40 items. The first week is to focus on a package of penal codes and about the final Bill on counties, towns and municipalities in Croatia, Pavletic said. On Friday, 17 January, the discussion is to focus on a proposal for the initiation of a vote of confidence to Administration Minister Davorin Mlakar, which had been suggested by some opposition representatives near the end of last year. The morning discussion on the issues are to be directly broadcast by the Croatian Television, Pavletic announced. The agenda also holds the Bill on the Fund for compensation of confiscated property, which is in its first reading. Among the suggested items of the agenda are nine bills which were forwarded by members of the House, such as amendments to the Law on Telecommunications, amendments to the Law on Income Tax and a Bill on abortion.
