The two officials discussed the completion of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area. Transitional Administration in the area was taking following a recent incident in Ilok. The reception in the Croatian embassy in Budapest was also attended by the assistant secretary of state in the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, in charge of south-eastern Europe, Gabor Bagi, the apostolic nuncio in Hungary, Angelo Acerbi, Hungarian ambassador in charge of European integration processes, Georg Habsburg, Slovenia's ambassador to Hungary, Ferenc Hajdos, and charge d'affaires in the Bosnian embassy in Budapest, Tomislav Vajnberger. The talks between the high officials also tackled state policies of Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia towards a group of countries consisting of Slovenia, Italy and Hungary, which will probably be joined soon by Croatia and Austria. The high officials also discussed cooperation between Croatian and Hungarian border authorities in implementing the process of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area. Hungarian ambassador Gabor Bagi reiterated Hungary's support for the Croatian Government Letter of Intent to the United Nations on the completion of peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area. Hungary wanted Croatia to have peaceful and successful development, to continue normalising its relations with Yugoslavia and help solve the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bagi said.
