STATEMENT ISSUED BY OFFICE OF PRESIDENT TUDJMAN

ZAGREB, Jan 12 (Hina) - For the last two months President of the Republic of Croatia, Franjo Tudjman, has been receiving numerous telephone calls and letters with good wishes and proposals for his recovery, by Croatian people from the country and abroad, as well as by citizens and experts of foreign countries - from Germany, the United States to Russia and Japan, the President's office said in a statement on Sunday. Being unable to thank to everybody individually, the President thanks warmly to all for their sincere wishes and interesting proposals in this way. He also informs them, with pleasure, that his recuperation is progressing very well, and that he is performing regularly his presidential duties and that he will be able to perform them very long - with the people and God's Will, said the statement.
