ZAGREB, Oct 1 (Hina) - A group of Croatian experts on environmental
protection, who have just successfully completed a one-year course
on environmentally safe manufacturing, received certificates in
Zagreb on Thursday.
The course was organised as part of a three-year United Nations
Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) project on the
creation of preconditions for safer manufacturing, and it was
finished by 32 experts.
The project, which was accepted by the Croatian Government last
year, is being conducted by the UNIDO, the Ministry of Economy and
the State Administration for Environmental Protection (DUZPO).
The Agency for Special Waste and the Czech Centre for
Environmentally Safer Manufacturing are securing the
implementation of the project.
The value of the project is US $260,000, and it is almost completely
sponsored by the Czech Government.
So far Croatia has invested $57,000 in the project.
