PRISTINA, Aug 16 (Hina) - The largest village in Kosovo, Junik, has
been placed under the control of Serbian police, Yugoslav news
agency Tanjug said on Sunday.
Albanian sources in Pristina have not confirmed the fall of this
strongest base of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
It has been reported that there have been no civilians in Junik for
three days.
A group of reporters who spent Sunday in the village under the
organisation of the Yugoslav government's Media Centre said they
had seen only about ten civilians and Serbian police controlling
the village.
