THE HAGUE, July 29 (Hina) - The prosecution in the trial against
General Tihomir Blaskic on Wednesday presented its last witness,
before the procedure takes a break until August 24 when the defence
will begin presenting its evidence.
The final witness gave testimony to the International Criminal
Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) under protection, so that
neither his identity nor the contents of the testimony are known.
Blaskic's lawyer Anto Nobilo told Hina via the telephone that he was
"very satisfied" with the testimony of the prosecution's final
witness.
He added that the defence and General Blaskic remained satisfied
after the presentation of the prosecution's evidence and that there
were no surprises for the defence from that part of the trial.
The prosecution presented a total of 93 witnesses.
Baskic's lawyers Nobilo and Russell Hayman intend to present more
than 90 witnesses for their part of the trial.
The defence has 60 working days available to present all its
evidence.
