ICTY TEAMS COMPLETE INVESTIGATION IN CENTRAL BOSNIAN VILLAGE

( Editorial: --> 6723 ) VITEZ, July 9 (Hina) - Teams of the Hague Tribunal on Wednesday completed an investigation in the village of Ahmici near Vitez (central Bosnia), a Stabilisation Force (SFOR) representative said Thursday. Major J.H. Vonk of the SFOR Dutch battalion told reporters that the investigators of the International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) had spent two days in Ahmici gathering evidence needed for a quick and fair trial of Croats from central Bosnia, indicted by ICTY. Answering to objections by Vitez residents saying that the Dutch battalion was inappropriately rude to civilians, Vonk said the Dutch soldiers only followed the usual procedure of securing the ground set by ICTY investigators.
