PASJAK/RUPA, July 18 (Hina) - During last night and today about
55,000 foreign tourists entered Croatia via the country's busiest
border crossings Pasjak and Rupa, according to border police
officers.
Most of the guests are from Austria, Germany, Italy, the Czech
Republic and Slovenia.
The entering traffic on these border crossings is running smoothly,
through four to eight personal vehicle lanes and one bus lane, and
the waiting time is just above five minutes.
According to the border police officers of the neighbouring
countries, heavy traffic on the Croatian border can also be
expected this afternoon and tonight.
There are occasional traffic jams on the busier intersections in
the Rijeka area, and the waiting time for ferries that commute to
the Gulf of Kvarner islands is one to three hours.
