ZAGREB, July 6 (Hina) - A delegation of the German parliamentary
committee for tourism and travelling arrived in a working visit to
Croatia on Monday.
The delegation was welcomed at the Zagreb airport of Pleso by Deputy
Tourism Minister Vinka Cetinski.
The Bundestag delegation was interested in the current situation in
the Croatian tourism, war damage, privatisation and restructuring
of tourism economy and legal regulations.
Deputy Tourism Minister Cetinski told her guests that the Croatian
tourism was oriented towards activities which lead to Europe and
European associations.
Possible programmes in which Croatia expects support from Germany
are programmes of sustainable development of rural areas and some
bays, development of small and medium-sized entrepreneurship in
hotel industry and hotel management, restructuring of hotels on the
central Adriatic coast and establishment of a centre for secondary
and higher education in the area of tourism.
The German parliamentarians will this week continue the talks with
their colleagues in the Croatian National Parliament.
The Bundestag delegation will also visit Dubrovnik and Plitvice
Lakes national park.
