SARAJEVO, May 14, (Hina) - Members of the stabilisation force and
the international police in Bosnia and Herzegovina (IPTF),
Thursday commenced a new operation inspecting all headquaters of
Bosnian Serb regular and special police forces in the Pale
district.
The goal of this programme is to check the operation of the police
force after the relocation of the Government to Banja Luka, and to
establish whether the police are fully under the control of the
Ministry of the Interior, the SFOR headquarters in Sarajevo said on
Thursday.
IPTF will conduct all the inspections, and SFOR army will give its
support.
During the operation, supervision of the police force will be
increased to the wider region. The government of the Serb entity
will be consulted on all issues, the SFOR headquaters said.
