SARAJEVO, April 9 (Hina) - The Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina on
Thursday decided on the liquidation of the National Bank of Bosnia-
Herzegovina.
This will make possible the full functioning of the Central Bank of
Bosnia-Herzegovina established by the Dayton Agreement.
Advisor to the chairman of the Presidency, Mirza Hajric, told
reporters that the procedure of liquidating the National Bank, an
institution of the former Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
practically begins on Thursday and will last for three weeks, after
which the Presidency will discuss adopted measures.
The decision to abolish the National Bank of Bosnia-Herzegovina was
reached following separate talks of members of the Presidency after
the Serb member of the Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, did not show
up for the Presidency session, claiming he had been notified about
the session too late.
