CAVTAT, April 1 (Hina) - The first Croatian conference on quality
was opened in Cavtat, on the southern Adriatic, on Wednesday.
The conference, which gathered more than 200 experts from Croatia
and foreign countries, will last until April 3.
The conference is aimed at exchanging experiences and views
concerning quality in Croatia and its improvement.
The conference is held under the sponsorship of the Croatian
Government, Economy Ministry, State Institute for Standardisation
and Measurement and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
Participants in the conference were welcomed by Assistant Minister
in the Croatian Science and Technology Ministry, Nikola Ruzinski,
who stressed that quality is an important precondition for Croatian
products to enter the European market and Croatia to enter European
institutions.
The first day of the conference will include lectures by European
experts and a roundtable discussion of the Croatian oil company
