INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CROATIA'S ACCESS TO EUROPE BEGINS

( Editorial: --> 3031 ) ZAGREB, Mar 28 (Hina) - An international conference began in Zagreb Saturday under the headline "What Kind of Croatia Can Enter Europe". Organised by the Croatian-European Citizens' Forum and the Association for the Research of Transition in Democracy, and financially backed by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the Open Society Croatia Institute, the two-day conference gathers university professors, parliament representatives, and representatives of trade unions and non-government associations. Through a critical debate of the situation in Croatia, the conference, organisers say, aims to point out the necessity of changing political beliefs, performances and some non-democratic phenomena in Croatia's political order.
