ZAGREB, Feb 4 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa and
president of the Croatian Independent Unions' Alliance (SSSH)
Davor Juric agreed on Wednesday to establish exactly what had been
and what had not been fulfilled from an agreement signed between the
government and unions in 1996, and to intensify cooperation in the
Economic-Social Council.
The Economic-Social Council consists of members of the government,
employees and unions.
Wednesday's meeting between leaders of the government and the
Croatian Independent Unions' Alliance was agreed on during last
week's union protest by the name of "Remove Your Masks".
The SSSH said that it would insist on solving the problem of
unemployment and non-payment of salaries, and on an increase in the
non-taxable part of salaries and the introduction of several tax
classes.
