VIENNA, 18 Jan (Hina) - The traditional "Croatian Ball" of
Burgenland Croats was held Saturday night in the hotel Schoenbrunn
in Vienna.
The ball was held under the auspices of Vienna Mayor Michael Haeupl
and his deputy Bernhard Goerg.
Guests at the ball were welcomed by the president of the Vienna-
based Croatian-Burgenland cultural society, Ivan Domnanovic.
At the beginning of the ball, the folkloric ensemble 'Kolo slavuj'
performed Croatian folk songs and dances.
The event was attended by Slavko Begic, minister advisor on economy
in the Croatian embassy in Vienna, Tihomir Telisman, advisor on
Burgenland Croats, a delegation of Croats from Bratislava,
representative of the Greens' Party Terezija Stoisic, and numerous
Burgenland Croats, as well as Croats living in Vienna.
