ZAGREB, Jan 14 (Hina) - The second last group of Moslem refugees are
to return from the Gasinci refugee camp in eastern Croatia to Velika
Kladusa, spokeswoman for the Croatian government Office for
Refugees and Displaced Persons, Ana-Marija Radic, said on
Wednesday.
"They're a group of 218 Moslems who will leave for Velika Kladusa on
Thursday," Radic said.
After the group leaves, only about 50 Moslems from Velika Kladusa
will be left in Gasinci.
About 20,000 Moslem supporters of Fikret Abdic, who founded an
autonomous region in north-western Bosnia-Herzegovina, fled
Velika Kladusa in September 1994, from the 5th Bosnian Army corps,
faithful to the Moslem leadership in Sarajevo.
The Moslem refugees first found refuge in an improvised refugee
camp in Kupljensko (about 60 km south of Zagreb) after the end of the
internecine war in the Bihac area.
Some of them went from there to third countries, some returned to
Velika Kladusa and about 6,000 were accommodated in Gasinci.
Most of the refugees in Gasinci have already returned to the Velika
Kladusa and Cazin areas.
