DARDA MUNICIPAL TRUST ESTABLISHMENT COMMITTEE HOLDS SESSION

( Editorial: --> 3506 ) OSIJEK, 10 Jan (Hina) - Osijek-Baranja County Prefect Anica Horvat on Friday called a session of the Municipal Trust Establishment Committee of Darda. The session was called because of several inappropriate actions in the process of return of displaced people to their homes in the area of Darda municipality, Horvat's office said in a statement. The Municipal Trust Establishment Committee of Darda described the behaviour of individuals-returnees as unacceptable, adding they were violating agreements on the implementation of the program of the two-way return. The Committee entrusted all municipal heads and housing commissions with preventing similar incidents, at the same time respecting the program of return of displaced people. It was stressed at the meeting that "every intentionally caused incident, regardless of circumstances, means getting further away from the goal, which is the return to one's own home in peace, without new tensions and victims". The withdrawal of the U.N. Transitional Administration in Eastern Slavonia means greater responsibilities "especially in the work with people on spreading positive energy for peace, work and belief that the most difficult cases of return would be solved as soon as possible and in line with the law".
