ZAGREB, Jan 9 (Hina) - Croatian Deputy Foreign Minister Ivo Sanader
on Friday received the outgoing chief of the UN's Liaison Office in
Zagreb, Ambassador Aleksandar Lebedev, the Foreign Ministry said
in a statement.
"The successful termination of the UNTAES mandate is the result of
joint efforts by the Croatian Government and the United Nations",
said Lebedev.
He also acquainted Sanader with the reorganisation of the UN's
Liaison Office in Zagreb.
Sanader was satisfied with the successful cooperation with the
office and with all UNTAES office workers.
Croatia will continue to take an active part in strengthening the
peace process in Bosnia-Herzegovina through a consistent
implementation of the Washington and Dayton peace agreements, and
will intensify efforts to access Central European and European-
Atlantic institutions, the deputy foreign minister said.
