This is statistical research which most countries in the world take
every ten years.
During the 15-day-long census, census takers will list citizens of
Croatia and persons without Croatia's citizenship who have an
address in the country.
Respondents are obliged to correctly answer all the questions, and
it is guaranteed that data will be kept secret. The data will be used
only for the statistical purpose, the Croatian national
Statistical Office reported.
Some of 64 questions in the census questionnaire refer to the sex,
place and date of the birth, national origins, faith, education,
income, housing conditions and ownership of real assets.
After the processing of the data, it will be possible to establish
demographic, economic, social, housing and family features of
Croatia.
The first census which Croatia takes since it won independence,
includes for the first time questions about disability or
respondents, and this category has been taken from censuses of
European countries.
