ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - The participants in Croatia's early 1990s Homeland Defence War are unhappy with the draft of a bill of amendments to the Veterans' Rights Law, believing the moved solutions significantly reduce the rights of
veterans, their families, and disabled veterans. The new legal solutions represent "dangerous discrimination", the president of disabled veterans association HVIDR-a, Marinko Liovic, told reporters on Friday. HVIDR-a objects to the reduction of rights as an excuse that it has to be done following a request by the International Monetary Fund, said Liovic. He added Croatia's veterans were ostensibly brought into a position worse than those who were members of Serb rebel units.(hina) ha sb
