ZAGREB/SIBENIK, Feb 17 (Hina) - Retired generals on Friday evening forwarded a letter to the president of the parliament's committee for interior policy and national security, Djurdja Adlesic, proposing the entire and systematical
protection of the Homeland Defence War, including Croatia's national interests, one of the retired generals, Davorin Domazet Loso, told reporters. This includes the protection of retired general Mirko Norac, Domazet said. He explained that the letter was sent not only to solve the fate of general Norac, but in order to entirely and systematically protect the Homeland Defence War - because general Norac was an important part of the war. Therefore the generals asked for the protection of Norac's rights, as well as the rights of all Croatian Homeland War veterans. The letter was also addressed to parliament speaker Zlatko Tomcic, all vice presidents of the parliament, and

When asked whether the letter was signed by all retired generals,
Domazet said "Almost all, apart from Norac who was not able to
signed it, and Nojko Marinovic, who is ill and who did not attend the
protest in Split due to the same reason".
Adlesic is on an official visit to Berlin. She told Hina, however,
she was informed about the letter.
