HOMELAND WAR ASSOCIATIONS PREPARE FOR FEB 15 RALLY IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB ZAGREB, Feb 12 (Hina) - A national coordinating body, which gathers Croatian Homeland War associations, on Monday adopted a programme of activities for a central protest rally for the protection of the Homeland War, to be held in Zagreb's St. Mark Square on February 15. The immediate cause for the meeting is the case of retired Croatian general Mirko Norac, a suspect in 1991 war crimes against civilians in the Gospic area, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued. The Norac case has provoked numerous protest rallies by war veterans' association across Croatia over the past several days. The leader of the Association of Croatian Homeland War Veterans, Djuro Decak, announced that the coordinating body would draw up a declaration for the Zagreb rally.
