protecting the dignity of Croatia's Homeland War said in Gospic on
Monday all roads in Lika-Senj County would be unblocked by February
15.
The Lika County Headquarters for the Protection of the Dignity of
the Homeland War has made this decision because it expects a
civilised dialogue to be established between the government and the
Central Headquarters for the Protection of the Dignity of the
Homeland War, said president Ivan Vukic.
The county headquarters insists that the Supreme Court voice its
opinion about an appeal by the headquarters asking that Milan Canic
be released from the Rijeka prison and that the warrant for the
arrest of general Mirko Norac be withdrawn. The headquarters also
demands that the Declaration on the Homeland War be respected in
every segment, Vukic said.
"Nobody can force us to take up arms, this is no sabre-rattling and
we want to make that clear to the Croatian public but we will use all
democratic methods guaranteed by the Constitution to express our
dissatisfaction regarding the government's relationship toward
the Homeland War and Croatian soldiers," the headquarters
spokesman Darko Milinovic told reporters.
Milinovic reported that the headquarters was preparing for a rally
to be held in Zagreb's central square on February 15.
