BANJA LUKA BISHOP SPEAKS OF CROATS' RETURN TO PRE-WAR HOMES
Since the pope's visit on June 22, the authorities of Bosnia's Serb
entity have done more for the return of Croats to pre-war homes than
in all the years before, but the Croats' position in the entity and
the Banja Luka Diocese remains very difficult, local Catholic bishop
Franjo Komarica told reporters on Monday.
Of about 80,000 exiled Croats only 3,000 have returned, mainly elderly
persons, Komarica said, adding that 78 Catholic faithful died in Banja
Luka this year, while only three children were christened.
