Asked to comment on the position of foreign ambassadors in Croatia
that the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) was not suitable for the
government, Mesic said he was against the government being formed
under influences from abroad.
"The HSP has changed its rhetoric, but its image has remained," he
added.
Mesic said Croatia needed several election cycles before it could
become "a real democracy", and that defections to the victorious
party could be expected.
