Micic, also the parliament speaker, told reporters that the current
parliament, after three years, "has exhausted its democratic and
reform potential" and was no longer able to continue with the
adoption of reform legislation or carry out a serious government
reshuffle.
"I am confident that the parliamentary elections, along with
Sunday's elections for the president of the republic, will bring
the necessary concord and reason, as well as a new parliament and
government which will shoulder responsibility for the difficult
decisions that lie ahead and continue the reform of the system as
well as speed up Serbia's integration into the EU," said Micic.
