The ministry received an urgent request from the Montenegrin
Foreign Ministry on Monday seeking assistance in containing the
fire.
The fire broke out last Saturday and has affected 12 square
kilometres of pine forest.
Montenegrin Foreign Minister Dragisa Burzan thanked his Croatian
counterpart Tonino Picula for the assistance in a telephone
conversation. The two ministers agreed that this was yet another
contribution to improving cooperation in border areas between
Croatia and Montenegro.
