Commission's External Relations Section (RELEX), Michael Leigh.

Leigh expressed satisfaction with Croatia's progress in the
process of drawing closer and joining the EU. He stressed the
importance of fulfilling economic and political requirements as
well as those relating to adapting legislative systems, the
Croatian government's public relations office reported.
Deputy Premier Granic pointed out that the project of Croatia's
association with the EU was being treated as a priority by this
government, the press release added.
Addressing the cooperation with the Hague Tribunal, Deputy Premier
Granic expressed his government's readiness to realise this co-
operation to the fullest. Granic also informed Leigh of the process
of refugee returns. He said the government was entering final
successful stages of that process.
