The Primate of the Serb Orthodox Church for the Zagreb and Ljubljana
area, Metropolitan Jovan, thanked the Croatian government for the
funds it had secured for this Church. He described this as a great
step made after the Croatian government and the Serb Orthodox
Church signed a treaty. The dignitary also added that important
issues were being settled gradually.
The interlocutors agreed that a list of top priority facilities in
the process of de-nationalisation which could be given back to this
Church should be compiled by 1 June.
Commissions will be set up to work on the restitution of cultural
heritage.
Granic informed his interlocutors about the coming visit of Pope
John Paul II to Croatia. The Serb Orthodox Church dignitaries said
they, too, would take part in that important event.
