peace, friendship and interreligioustolerance.
PRISTINA, Dec 24 (Hina) - The most senior representatives of Kosovo
institutions and the international community in Kosovo on Friday wished the
residents of the province and Kosovo Bishop Marko Sopi a merry Christmas, with
messages of peace, friendship and interreligious tolerance.In his message to Kosovo's citizens, members of the Kosovo Force, the UN
Mission and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and
diplomats, President Ibrahim Rugova voiced confidence the next Christmas would
be celebrated in independent Kosovo.
Rugova wished Pope John Paul II a merry Christmas too.
The head of the Islamic community in Kosovo, Mufti Naim Ternava, also
wished a merry Christmas to the Catholic faithful.
Bishop Sopi called on all citizens to work for the benefit of Kosovo.
