Prime Minister Marek Belka visited their troops in Kosovo on Tuesday ahead of
the Christmas holidays, and met representatives of the Kosovo government and
the international administration.Belka told reporters after meeting Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova that
he was pleased with the progress made in Kosovo, underlining that the
development of democratic institutions brought Kosovo closer to the European
Union.
Rugova said he had asked Poland for support for Kosovo's integration
with the European Union, adding that Kosovo was ready to meet European
standards.
Fischer said that the peacekeeping mission in Kosovo would continue.
