ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - Liberal Party (LS) leader Zlatko Benasic on
Tuesday announced that LS deputies in the parliament will request forwarding to
parliament for urgent discussion a bill banning the displaying of fascist
symbols and the marking and glorifying of fascist ideologies and movements. The party believes that such a law is necessary and that its adoption
has been made topical by an incident caused by three students from Belgrade.
Last Saturday the students took a photograph of themselves in Zagreb's
central Ban Jelacic Square showing a picture of Chetnik leader and war criminal
Draza Mihailovic. Two of them have been sentenced to prison terms.
