HSP leader Anto Djapic told the press the Government wanted to reduce the relationship with the Hague tribunal to legal issues but it transpired the relationship was a first-class political issue.
He labelled del Ponte's report insulting because it made no difference between Croatia and Serbia, which he said "isn't a blow to Croatia but to the Government which still hasn't reacted".
Commenting on the Government's claim that Croatia must not be hostage to fugitive General Ante Gotovina, Djapic said Gotovina had not waged his own private war.
The HSP club of deputies is "appalled" by Independent Serb Democratic Party MP Milorad Pupovac's claim that the Government's policy of purchasing Serb property represents a continuation of the policy of ethnic cleansing of Serbs but by other means.
The HSP deputies said this was not the first time the ruling Croatian Democratic Union tacitly accepted unacceptable claims by coalition partners.
They also commented on a report on the implementation of the national defence plan, which is before Parliament, saying it corroborated the HSP's assessment that the situation in the defence sector was disastrous.
